If so, then the larger objective lenses (the 60, 78, and 80 numbers) become important. Otherwise, some people say that while larger objectives have theoretically better resolution (ability to see fine detail), that the practical difference is nil because of air diffraction. Finally, can you stand the extra weight? (A light-weight tripod to compensate for the bigger objectives only works if it is designed to keep things from vibrating and is, therefore, more expensive.)
