A number of very excellent scopes were set up (Celestron, Nikon 60mm fieldscope, Swarovski) and we were looking at a VERY distant Wilson's Phalarope, through lots of heat shimmer and haze. The only scope that showed any real field marks, and offered an outstanding, BRIGHT, large image at the distance we were viewing, was the new Pentax. A friend (who is a real optics hound) and I both agreed that it was a spectacular scope, far better than anything else we looked through. I would save my $ and check it out before making a decision on anything else.
