The watch began in 1995, and the site is manned by volunteers from the Cecil Bird Club and other affiliated Clubs in the area. Generally counters are only present from ~ 9AM - 12 PM. Last year we had complete coverage, but it seems we may not have such good fortune this year. ( Acutally, we have only missed a few days thus far, ) For more complete site information, including volunteering at the site, view www.udel.edu/cecilbirds Charlie Gant was chief counter on 10/7, and was elated with his close encounter, as a " huge female PEREGRINE flew right over, not more than 30 feet, and I could even see her eyes. " The moment was just all Charlie and the bird; he had no company at that moment. His count for the AM between 0900 and 1200 was: SS-49, CH-7, OS-2, ML-1, PG-1, BW-11, and BE-2 Leslie Fisher Watch Coordinator ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
