While I saw no hummingbird yesterday, I did see a couple of Gray Catbirds who I believe are new (the residents left several weeks ago), a Northern Flicker and a Common Yellowthroat. In the Enid Haupt Garden, there was my first White-throated Sparrow of the year. This morning, the ?-ed Hummingbird was present but elusive, darting about the flowers on the Jefferson Drive side of the garden and perching high in the elm with the bird feeder. (To recap, the garden is between the Arts and Industries Building and the Hirshhorn Museum).
