However, I did see one OVENBIRD, one BLACKPOLL WARBLER, 2 COMMON YELLOWTHROATS (one was an adult male), a COOPER'S HAWK (flying above) swiping at a group of pigeons, and 2 male AMERICAN KESTRELS (these landed on the Hirschorn (sp?) museum building). A _very_ confiding Gray Catbird in search of grit hopped slowly toward me, then behind the bench I was sitting on before appearing on the other side. The Ovenbird chased two House Sparrows away as both species foraged on leaf undersides and branches. Also several MONARCHS and a very fresh male BLACK SWALLOWTAIL.
