McHenry's Big Sit the Star-Spangled Birders found a Clay-colored Sparrow. It was spotted five times in the maintenance yard neighboring the wetland, and once by Gail Frantz on the wetland trail. Jim said he will be at the Fort all week (but not if it rains.) Quick Sit note: This year, Jim Peters, Wendy Taparanskas, Gail Frantz, and I made up the Sit Team. We tallied 65(?) species in seventeen hours. More Sit details to come...
