The watch began in 1995, and the site is manned by volunteers from the Cecil Bird Club and other affiliated Clubs in the area. Generally counters are only present from ~ 9AM - 12 PM. Last year we had complete coverage, but it seems we may not have such good fortune this year. ( Acutally, we have only missed a few days thus far, ) For more complete site information, including volunteering at the site, view www.udel.edu/cecilbirds All has been fairly quiet at Turkey Point, still waiting for those big med-season flights! 10/12: N wind, 3 hrs, 29 raptors: SS-19, RS-1, CH-5, OS-2, BW-2 10/13: not much better, N wind, 4 hrs, 30 raptors: TV-6 OS-1 BE-3 SS-10 CH-4 RT-5 UB-1 10/14: even less!
