There were people doing maintenance work on the righthandside reservoir where the gulls normally roost so there were few around, but the handful of gulls present did include an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull. There are now 25 Ring-necked Duck in and there were 5 Ruddy Duck present. There was a very large raft of Ruddies off the Belle Haven picnic area, Alexandria - c 200 or so - I think some were far enough out to be in Maryland waters, but in any rate a lot of these birds are moving through our area at the moment. Also present, but not in Maryland waters was another adult Lesser B-b.
