What a nice life bird to pick up. VA-birders, Here is a bird worth chasing in NC.... a White Wagtail. You can find directions to the Sandling Beach Recreation Area on Falls Lake by using Yahoo or other search engine. I just looked it up, and it is off of Rt.50 north of Raleigh, NC. Unfortunately, I am in Delaware and will not be able to go for it. Good luck to those who do! Larry Lynch birder6@juno.com Subject: WHITE WAGTAIL still present From: "Toni Rexrode" Date: Tue, 22 Oct 2002 18:21:52 -0400 Carolinabirders - I just spoke with Will Cook. They are still at Falls Lake and the White Wagtail is still present. It has been confirmed by several experienced birders. I spoke with him at approximately 6:00 pm. He said they are leaving soon but there are lots of birders still there, if you are close enough to make it before dark. They are at the recreation area at Sandling Beach.
