Ended up with 53 species. Birds of note were a male Ruddy Duck, a possible Northern Goshawk, a late Solitary Sandpiper, a Blue-headed Vireo, 3 Tree Swallows, and 3 White-crowned Sparrows. Numerical highlights were 7 Red-headed Woodpeckers, 6 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, 19 Northern Flickers, 22 Golden-crowned Kinglets, 34 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 105 American Robins, 76 Myrtle Warblers, 75 Rusty Blackbirds, and 204 White-throated Sparrows. Interesting observations included a flock of 20 Rusty Blackbirds on the ridge feeding on wild grapes and watching Turkey Vultures appearing out of nowhere until there was a group of 10 soaring overhead. I thought they were attracted to a deer along River Road that had been killed this morning in the fog, but when I checked the carcass on the way out it hadn't been touched. I moved it into an open field where the vultures should have an easier time finding.
