GS BUMED" Subject: Hains Point, DC / Brant MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Hains Point, Wash, DC, 25 Oct 02, 1145-1230: Hains Point had the Giant awakening to cool, breezy weather with overcast skies. Birds observed at the point included Double-crested Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, an adult Bald Eagle over the Potomac between the point and National Airport, many Ring-billed Gull, Fish Crow and European Starling. The adult Brant, reported by Jim Felley yesterday, was among a flotilla of 150+ Canada Geese in the Potomac adjacent to Ohio Drive. A Great Black-backed Gull was also observed.
