The watch began in 1995, and the site is manned by volunteers from the Cecil Bird Club and other affiliated Clubs in the area. Generally counters are only present from ~ 9AM - 12 PM. Last year we had complete coverage, but it seems we may not have such good fortune this year. ( Acutally, we have only missed a few days thus far, ) For more complete site information, including volunteering at the site, view www.udel.edu/cecilbirds On 10/26 Candi Lee counted 10 birds in 2.5 hrs: BE-2, SS-5, CH-1, AK-2 10/27 Pat Valdata and crew fared better between 0730 and 1200, scoring all 3 FALCONS, a GOSHAWK( 1000 to 1100 hr) and SHORT EARED OWL. The latter flew right overhead.
