Pretty much the same birds I have been seeing recently, but it didn't seem as active. Birds of note were my first PIED-BILLED GREBE of the season, a RING-NECKED DUCK and 6 late ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS. The deer I had pulled into a field on Wednesday had been completely eaten and pulled about fifty feet from where I had left it. There was another dead deer along River Rd. so I brought it to the same spot. When I returned 2 1/2 hours later there were two Black Vultures and a Turkey Vulture soaring high overhead, but there was no indication they were coming down to feed anytime soon.
