The watch began in 1995, and the site is manned by volunteers from the Cecil Bird Club and other affiliated Clubs in the area. Generally counters are only present from ~ 9AM - 12 PM. Last year we had complete coverage, but it seems we may not have such good fortune this year. ( Acutally, we have only missed a few days thus far, ) For more complete site information, including volunteering at the site, view www.udel.edu/cecilbirds For those interested in November count dates contact me at gonbrdn@dol.net The buteos were really moving this morning, trying to get ahead of the rain I guess. Between 9 and 10 was crazy, one group after another. I was able to breathe between 10 and 11; by 1145 it had begun to rain. Hmm, wonder how many i missed between 8 and 9. Between 9 and 1145 I had counted 276 raptors, know I did not get them all, just coming too fast for mein the first hour.. The dogs tried....... The Goshawk was in the 10 - 11 hour.
