Just wanted to let people know that the Prince George's Audubon Society and the Patuxent Bird Club (MOS) are sponsoring a field trip to the hawkwatch at Waggoner's Gap near Carlisle, PA this Saturday. It is going to be cold, but that's never stopped most birders! I can't speak for this weekend, but a few days ago they had 2 Golden Eagles, and there have been a large number of Red Tails migrating in the last week (check out the HMANA web site - http://www.hmana.org - for recent stats for this hawkwatch, as well as sites north). There is a bit of a hike (over rocks) from the parking lot to the actual site, so wear sturdy shoes (also, very important - the port-a-pot is in the parking lot). You should also bring a cushion because those rocks get pretty hard after you've been sitting on them for a while! Meet at the Beltway Plaza parking lot at 7:00 a.m. See our web site for contact/reservation information and for directions to the meeting place. http://www.pgaudubon.org Lynette Fullerton Odenton, AA Co., MD l_fullerton_1999@yahoo.com ===== "The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware--joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware." --Henry Miller __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
