Much of the research was done at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Laurel, MD. On Friday, November 8 at 7 pm, the Friends of the Patuxent Research Refuge and Wildlife Research Center are sponsoring a one-woman play, "A Sense of Wonder", by the TV/movie actress Kaiulani Lee about the life of Rachel Carson, at the National WIldlife Visitor Center in Laurel Md. This is a fund raising event and all profits from the show will go to the refuge for research and educational purposes. Tickets ($20) may be purchased in advance by calling 301-497-5789, by email at robert@friendspwrc.org, or by stopping by the WIldlife Images bookstore at the Visitor Center. If all seats are not sold out in advance, tickets will be available at the door. The Visitor Center is located on Powder Mill Rd, between the BW Parkway and Rte. 197. The refuge hopes you will show your support by attending this acclaimed presentation.
