Was walking to the school bus stop this afternoon ~2:00. Saw an accipiter
cruising over the woods across the street, seemed very large, almost
red-shouldered size.
It cruised low over the street, but did not have my binoculars, so I couldn't
see any real detail. But from the woods on my side of the street a
sharp-shinned hawk came up to meet the first hawk. The sharp-shinned's wing
span wasn't even half the first accipiter's. It completely ignored the
sharp-shinned and after a few passes they went their separate ways. The
sharp-shinned looked tiny compared to the first bird, possible/probable
Goshawk?
