Passing the entrance station, go right at the yield sign and after 1/2 mile or so left into the parking lot for the playground with tires. Walk down to the lake shore through the tall grass. At a trail intersection there are brightly colored cutout geese signs. The flock foraged in this area. This is more or less the northwest corner of the lake, from where the loon was often seen. 3 Tree Swallows were at Hughes Hollow, and one was at Seneca.
