A very shy GREEN-WINGED TEAL at the wildlife end. BUFFLEHEAD and RUDDY DUCKS at the deep end. A group of winter plumaged CHIPPING SPARROWS by the gravel clearing had us wishing for their brown rumped cousin. As we were ending the walk RED-TAILS started to really move with at least a dozen in 20-30 minutes. We finished up with a magnificent BALD EAGLE- probably a 1st year bird. {last week while sparrowing we had a lingering Bobolink. Pipits had increased with 60-70 birds and a few more Rusty Blackbirds}.
