It was much lighter then a Song Sparrow and the fine streaking, the chest was not buffy. But also not as light as I am used to seeing Savannah Sparrows. I would think it was a Savannah but not sure if they are still in the area, so it goes in my log as an unidentified sparrow sp. Had a huge group of blackbirds on the cornfield now cut next to the upper pond. Many large flyovers of blackbirds as well. At home had a visit at the bird feeders by an immature and inexperienced Red-tailed Hawk. He wasn't going for any of the birds, but kept a squirrel up inside my squirrel baffle (tube type that goes over a 4x4) for almost 20 minutes. It was hysterical to watch the squirrel keep popping his head out the bottom to check and see if the hawk was still there. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
