MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Rob, The Broad-winged Hawks (2) were seen seperatly passing southerly at about 100 feet from the ground. They both appeared to be light phase juveniles. They were generally all white on the underside with the distinctive dark outline of the wings and darker banding of the tail. The birds' "chin" also was white and unstreaked. As for the Cormorants. They were mostly on the water and rocks near the breakwater that seperates the generation area and the dam gates. -Chris -----Original Message----- From: Robert Ringler [mailto:ringler@QIS.NET] Sent: Thursday, November 07, 2002 2:15 PM To: MDOSPREY@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM Subject: Re: [MDOSPREY] Birding Cecil County 11/6/02- Fox Sparrow! Chris, Were your Broad-winged Hawks adults or immatures? It would be interesting to know since there are precious few November records for Maryland. Also, were your 1000 cormorants at Conowingo on the water or flying by? Thanks in advance.
