Went out again at lunch today with a coworker. The wind had abated =
somewhat from yesterday but there were still some whitecaps on the =
Patuxent. Still, we were able to find about 50 Ruddy Ducks, one Common =
Loon and 3 Horned Grebes. A Bald Eagle that we had seen earlier, sitting =
in a large tree near the water, flew over the ducks and disappeared back =
in the general direction it had come from.

Next we stopped at a weedy area where two bramble lines intersect. There =
were at least 50 Field Sparrows, several Song Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows, =
White-throats and Juncos, and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.=20

Next we stopped at the large pond where there were 3 Gadwalls, a dozen =
Canada Geese and 5 Wood Ducks. More of the same assortment of sparrows =
plus a pair of Chickadees investigating a hole in a tree (where were they =
during safe dates?!) and a couple of Ruby-crowned Kinglets. On the way =
back, there were 2 Am. Kestrels on the power lines paralleling the road.
