There are still sparrows to be found! Our first FOX SPARROW was spotted this morning. WHITE-CROWNS are getting comfortable for the winter, as elegant as ever. A great time to study SWAMP sparrows chipping away. WHITE-THROATS cheerily singing. PIPITS and HORNED LARKS zipping overhead and settling down into the fields. RUSTY BLACKBIRDS increasing in numbers with 20+ in a flock. A SNIPE hanging on and a couple BALD EAGLES- probably attracted to a deer carcass (Ben Franklin was right). Phoebes and ruby-crowned kinglets keeping good company with the sparrows.
