See Leslie Fisher's post for more on that. Things were slow. We left Turkey point, after a few hours, and headed to Perry Point and Perryville Town Park to scan for waterfowl. Numbers continue to be lower then lately with Furnace Bay virtualy void of all waterfowl. Mill Creek did hold a good variety but numbers were low for everything except Ruddy Duck. In Mill Creek I saw 6 Greater Yellowlegs on a log at high tide. Also the back of the creek held a good number of A. Black Ducks and Mallards with single species of male N. Pintail in breeding plumage (a first for me there) and a female N. Shovler. Other species in the creek were; Ruddy Duck, Bufflehead, Lesser Scaup, Canvasback, Canada Goose, American Coot, & Pied-billed Grebe. No tundra swans were noted. Next we went to Conowingo were we were greeted by well over one hundred Black Vultures. A large number of Bald Eagles as Les Eastmen posted previously. No Bonaparte's Gulls were tallied (which is why we went there), However, A single adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was present as pointed out to me by John Taylor (thanks john).
