RTLO, LTDU (Sunday / Monday) Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline The weather looked rotten Sunday afternoon so I decided to stop at Rocky Gap State Park and quickly found 4 Long-tailed Ducks, about 25 Hooded Mergansers, some Bufflehead and one Jim Stasz (who told me of ...) 3 Red-throated Loons at Little Meadows Lake (Garrett County). I made for that Lake where there was also one Long-tailed Duck and lots of Bufflehead. The 3 RT Loons were loosely-associating with 5 other Common Loons. Then I stopped at Piney Reservoir (still Sunday) and found 3 Common Goldeneye females. This morning (Monday) I stopped again at Rocky Gap (not really on my way to work but hey ...) and could not find the Long-Tailed Ducks though Ray Kiddy tells me he saw them briefly. Ray was presumably there earlier than I was. I did find one Am. Wigeon swimming with 2 Gadwall and one Lesser Scaup (odd group), a lone Ring-necked duck, lone, Ruddy Duck, single Common Loon, single Pied Billed Grebe and 2 Am. Coots. Good Birding ...
