Predicted peak for the East coast is from 5:23 - 5:47 am tomorrow morning. However, another peak is to occur from about 10:48 to 11:04pm tonight. The earlier peak will be against the bright moon and a bit far to the east, but the later peak looks like it may be above cloud cover. Meteorites should be visible throughout the night and the next two days. This may be a good opportunity for some people that were tormented by clouds or fog during last year's “fireworks.” (and I must say that is one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen!) Recommendations for watching are to dress warm and sit in a reclining lawn chair with your feet pointed to the East. I'm hoping for a good show in between checking my nets for owls.
