Lookout State Park MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi All, A little after 11 AM this morning, 11-19-02, a small group a swallows were migrating south over Point Lookout State Park. Of about 15 swallows, 10 + were Tree Swallows, but the last in one in the group was what I believe to be a Cave Swallow. For a few details: The group passed over the point about 50 feet up heading south. The Cave Swallow was following the Bay shore and made only one small circle before continuing south. It was similar in size and shape to the Tree Swallows with a short, squarish, black tail; light belly; light rusty breast and throat. Cliff Swallow was eliminated by it not having a light forehead (though I could not determine the exact color) and because the throat was lighter than a Cliff Swallow's. Does anyone know if there have been any Cave Swallows reported in the region?
