It's extremely powerful and versatile, yet very simple and easy to use. You can download reports to Word, WordPerfect, Quattro Pro, and Excel. There are a variety of free add-ons, such as AOU updates for splits, name changes, etc., and data sets for butterflies, dragonflies, reptiles and amphibians, and mammals, that are very useful. And I think someone already mentioned that there's an add-on for the Palm that syncs with the main software. Avisys also integrates with Thayer's Birds of North America CD-ROM, so you can use them together. (We have Birds of America, and the pictures actually look better from within Avisys than they do from Thayer's own software because of the manner in which they're displayed.) You can even order BNA directly from Avisys. They just came out with a new version.
