Subject: DC sightings - 11/22/02 TUSW Comments: To: Janni Ottavio , Jason Berry MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hit a few spots in DC this morning (Anacostia River Park, Kenilworth Park, Arboretum), with a few birds of note: TUNDRA SWAN - a flock of 43 emerged out of the clouds, only to get enveloped by them again while I was at Kenilworth Park. Another flock of 9 flew over a few minutes later from the other direction. Not sure if they were from the original flock. PINTAIL - 1 male at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens GRAY CATBIRD - 1 bird hanging out in a traditional wintering spot at the Arb EASTERN TOWHEE - 2 birds also at the Arb. Otherwise it was the usual cast of characters. Good birding, Paul Pisano Arlington, VA cheep@erols.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
