Highlight was a new homelist high of 5 Bald Eagles. Other birds of interest were 7 Hermit Thrush, 4 Kestrel, at least 5, maybe as many as 7 Red-Tails (in 3 square miles), Brown Creeper, Screech Owl and 5 Palm Warbler. Saturday (11/30) - Moved on to Ocean City, where it decided to rain for a half hour after we got there. But while sitting in the car, we had an imm. Great Cormorant that kept flying by. It made 5 passes, but I believe it was the same bird all the time. Even better was a Brown Pelican that flew in the inlet and around to Skimmer Is. Once the rain let up, we got out and scoped Purple Sands on the breakwater. I assume the work on the breakwater has scared off any ducks. On Skimmer Is. (or actually the small island closer to Hooper's), we had Sanderling, Turnstone, Dunlin, BB Plover, Louisiana Heron, another LBBG and the pelican again. West Ocean City Pond was interesting with at least 15 species of duck including Canvasback, Lesser Scaup, 1 Greater Scaup, Hoodies, 2 Redhead and a Wood Duck.
