Hello Everyone, With a few hours window before the (Gasp) snow and ice = storm I decided to load up on bread and milk no no no wrong story. = Anyway I did have an opportunity to visit the point this morning for = about 3.5 hrs and it was certainly a nice break in the windy conditions = of the last several days. The following are highlights. 1 Harlequin Duck = at the south end of the Causeway, 1 Royal Tern flyover North end of the = Causeway coming from the river side across the Causeway out into the = open Bay. All 3 Scoters with Black Scoters being the predominant of the = 3. A few Horned Grebes, Long-tailed Duck, Common Goldeneye, Bufflehead, = A few Common Loons, Red-breasted Merganser, 2 groups of Brown Pelican = over Cornfield Harbor (1 of 5, 1of 9). Still a few Forster Terns and = conspicuous by their absence 0 Laughing Gulls. Also 2 flyby Great = Cormorants off the Causeway and about 2 doz Double-crested Cormorants. = With the expected poor weather conditions the next day or two I will try = and let you all know about the Harlequin before the weekend in case = anyone needs for a life, state or county bird.
