While there Nancy spotted a warbler that flew in to a nearby tree. I saw the bird also, but could not really get it in my binoculars before it flew off, not to be seen again. Nancy, however, was able to describe the bird well, and based on her description, it was a first year Nashville Warbler. The complete species list for the morning at the park is as follows: Great Blue Heron 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk 1 Red-shouldered Hawk 2 Ring-billed Gull 6 Herring Gull 13 Rock Dove 15 Mourning Dove 2 Downy Woodpecker 2 Blue Jay 10 American Crow 30 Fish Crow 6 Carolina Wren 7 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 Eastern Bluebird 1 American Robin 1 Northern Mockingbird 6 European Starling 70 Nashville Warbler 1 Fox Sparrow 1 Song Sparrow 5 White-throated Sparrow 20 Dark-eyed Junco 12 Northern Cardinal 20 Red-winged Blackbird 9 American Goldfinch 20 House Sparrow 15 Elliot Kirschbaum Baltimore, MD USA mailto:ekirschb@bcpl.net ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
