Heading south on Rt 1 through all of the outlets, shoppers and traffic, cross the bridge (an elevated bridge as any point 3 feet above its surroundings is a landmark in Sussex County) over the Rehoboth Canal. At the first stoplight, turn right (west) into Spring Lake Condominiums. At the split in the drive, go left. The pond is on the right between the second and third speed bumps. Heading north on Rt 1, come up through Dewey, around the curve to the left and then turn left into Spring Lake at the light just before crossing the bridge. From Silver Lake, turn left on the street immediately south of the bridge over Silver Lake. This street comes out on Rt 1 one block south of the Spring Lake light. Now be forewarned that Tufty is not always present. She seems to alternate between Spring Lake, Silver Lake and some unknown third location. She was on Spring Lake Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, but was gone from either location on Sunday afternoon. To me, she seems easier to pick out on Spring Lake because she is often the only diving duck there. On Silver Lake, you have to sort her out from all the female scaup, Redhead, etc. Good Luck, Glen Lovelace III Seaford, DE -----Original Message----- From: Ben Poscover [mailto:bposcove@BCPL.NET] Sent: Monday, December 09, 2002 3:22 PM To: MDOSPREY@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM Subject: [MDOSPREY] Spring Lake What are the directions to Spring Lake where one might see the Tufted Duck?
