Highlights only - On this rainy and chilly day things were really pretty quiet, with the species list being quite similiar to that of a month ago. Dunlin ~40 Sanderlings ~40 Least Sandpipers (4) - mixed in with the Sanderlings and Dunlin Purple Sandpipers ~50 Snow Buntings ~34 (increased since Nov) Ruddy Ducks > 2000 Lesser Scaup > 2500 Numerous Old Squaw and all three Scoters, including 50-60 White-winged Scoters Horned Grebes ~10 Common Loons 5 Brown Pelican 1 Gulls - a few Ring-billed and Herring, but most have left, probably because the numerous ponds were still mostly frozen. (no Gt Black-backed).
