The Tidal Basin hosted Ring-billed, Herring and Greater Black-backed gulls, the FDR Memorial had a flock of American Robins, and the DC Veteran's Memorial had more robins, a pair of Downy Woodpeckers, and (best birds) a Hermit Thrush and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
