MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Today's Wall Street Journal (Friday, Dec. 27) has a front-page article headlined "Feeding Wild Birds May Harm Them And Environment" which makes a number of interesting points worth debating. However, the article is illustrated with a graph of U.S. spending on birdseed and feeders, accompanied by a photo of a bird that's definitely NOT going to show up in an American backyard! It looks almost but not quite like a European Goldfinch. Anyone know what it is? Thanks for ID help.
