Canvasback - 4 (3 male, 1 female) Ring-necked Duck - 20 Ruddy Duck - 7 Hooded Merganser - 2 (male and femal) Wilde Lake Frozen, just a few Canadas and the Trumplings Brighton Dam Canada Goose - 2 Black Duck - 14 Mallard - wasn't counting Common Merganser - about 250 (actually counted 244, but misssed some) Hooded Merganser - 1 (male) Herring Gull - 8 Sue Neri reported a possible Scaup from Lake Elkhorn in Columbia for yesterday. I'll check it out tomorrow afternoon, if it's still present. For anyone caring to join the 1 January outing, the itinerary will include Centennial and Brighton Dam. It may include Wilde and Elkhorn, depending on conditions, and we may just finish up at Meadowbrook for White-crowned Sparrows. So, if your hangover isn't too robust and you want to get the year list off to a rousing start, join us. Contact me off-list for directions.
