On Saturday, I walked with Paul & Cess Fritz, visiting from Alaska, and on Sunday I walked with Sheila MacLeod. On Sunday we made a concentrated effort to see Winter Wrens since we had seen several on Saturday. They seemed to favor areas along the far bank where green moss covered logs protruded into the water, We stopped and looked around every log and listened for a soft/high bubbling sound. On the Sod Farm a beautiful Red Fox was looking for dinner for about 10 minutes until hunters frightened it. The Fox was beautiful against the white snow with its red coloring and black lower legs. It finally bounded away with its tail outstretched.
