The bird was on the "north trail" and if anyone desires more details feel free to contact me. The "trails" are not marked. This is the forth year (since 1993) I have seen this species here on the CBC and the sixth individual. The last one I had seen was in 1997, however, so it was most welcomed after a five year hiatus. Despite all the December records, we need to document that this species does spend the entire winter in Maryland here, which surely it attempts to do. I guess whether it survives or not is another question ...
