I hung around a bit longer, and soon found the bird, now in the company of four Horned Grebes. Besides the duck species mentioned by Matt, I found several Canvasbacks feeding in the area east of the Jetty parking lot. To get a slightly better view, I moved from the Jetty parking lot over to the region around something called Crab Deck, which is now closed after having had a fire. Views from their deck were slightly better, and an extra bonus was a Coot in the small pond beside their parking lot.
