In the trees fringing the Tidal Basin north of the FDR=20 Memorial, a winter feeding flock which included Carolina Chickadees (several) Golden-crowned Kinglets (several) Brown Creepers (3) White-breasted Nuthatch Downy Woodpecker Red-bellied Woodpecker =20 In the DC Veteran's Monument woods, all was silent. But=20 once I spooked an un-ID'ed accipiter from the holly trees,=20 Carolina Wrens started singing and some American Robins flew over.
