Dunson? In July 1984 he reported a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher from near Snow Hill, Worcester County, that was published in American Birds 40:267. The MD/DCRC would like to contact him to see if any documentation is extant. Please respond to me offline if you do know him or his contact information. The MD/DC Records Committee (MD/DCRC) is involved with an ongoing project to try to track down documentation for old records that were never submitted to the MD/DCRC. By this point, we have made every reasonable effort to solicit documentation for just about every published report for every reviewable species in Maryland. Obviously there are still gaps though: some are records we do not yet know about; others we know about but have been unable to find the observer; on others we have contacted the observer and they remember taking photos, but they can't be found. Once we feel like we have made every reasonable effort but still have no documentation, the records are classed "unreviewable" and maintained in the database with the literature citation only. This specific record just came to light (we had missed it in our earlier searches of American Birds) and we would like to find out if Mr. Dunson is still around or if this is another dead-end. At some point soon the MD/DCRC will publish a list (via MDOsprey and MD Yellowthroat) that summarizes all the "unreviewable" records. It will be our hope that this will reach some people who have, or have access to, documentation for a few of these records that we will otherwise give up on. Thank you, Marshall J.
