I enjoyed the beautiful weather. There were 6 Northern Shovelers, 5 Coots, many singing Carolina Wrens, and the usual White Throated Sparrows. But the highlight was when an Orange Crowned Warbler popped out of some thick brush and out into the open on a small bush. I had heard the bird in the underbrush before it came out into the open. I had fairly good looks at the warbler before it went back down into the thick brush. It had a faint yellow wash on the underside, with faint, blurry streaks on the breast, but was otherwise pretty non descript. Further pishing just resulting in a large group of House Sparrows coming around. The bird did none of the tail bobbing of a Palm Warbler, and my initial impression was of a Winter Wren. This was in the strip of dense bushes and small trees as you just leave the woods on the boardwalk, kind of between the pond and some townhouses.
