It isn't even made anymore so I am not recommending this model. I am saying though that you can get a useable scope for 250-400. Another thing to consider is getting a fixed power eyepiece. In the cheaper scopes the zoom eyepieces are pretty poor. I use a fixed 20x and find it far superior to the zoom eyepiece for the same scope. Don't skimp on the tripod.
