White-fronted Goose MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Jed, The Records Committee does not review reports of White-fronted Geese because they are of annual occurrence and there are just too many. I have about 140 entries in my database for the state. Personally, I believe the vast majority, if not all, adult White-fronts are identified correctly. I always have doubts about reports of immature or hybrid White-fronts unless the parents are present. The photos of Greylags and hybrids in the Cornell webpage illustrate very well the great variety of plumages of Greylags from all white to typical gray, and the bizarre possibilities created by hybridization. Unfortunately the field guides are just guides and cannot cover every possibility.
