The older book, by Bond, is a lovely book but completely out-of-date on taxonomy. Even Raffaele's book is being revised to keep up with the rapid pace of Caribbean taxonomic changes (primarily splits). Your friend should also check out two web sites for information on Grenada, which has several special birds, including Grenada Dove, G. Flycatcher, and G, House Wren (probable split in near future). The sites are: Trip Reports: Wide assortment of Caribbean trip reports are available on Blake Maybank=B9s web site: http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/maybank/main.htm "Where do you Want to Go Birding in. . . Today ?" Pages for most of the West Indies (as well as the rest of world) at: http://www.camacdonald.com/birding/birding.htm Hope this helps, Gail Mackiernan Colesville, MD > The message below came to me from a local birder over here on the Eatern > Shore.
