MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Philip Kline and I birded Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Oxon Hill Farm, = and Piscataway National Park today. The highlight was a large group of = waterfowl including about 100 Redhead and 120 Tundra Swans, at the = Accocreek Creek area of Piscataway Park. Other waterfowl at Piscataway (in rough order of interest; counts for = these species are very approximate) included a few dozen Canvasback, one = female Pintail, one female Common Goldeneye, perhaps 200 Common = Mergansers, 50 Hooded Mergansers, 50 Scaup (probably all Lesser), 30 = Gadwall, 20 American Wigeon, 30 Bufflehead, a few Ring-Necked Ducks, a = few American Black Ducks, Mallards, and a few Canada Geese. A few dozen = American Coots were also present. The rest of the day was good, but less eventful. Oxon Hill Farm was = notable chiefly for a fairly large number of Bald Eagles out and about: = we tallied seven, two immatures and the rest adults. At Kenilworth we = had nice close (though brief) looks at a Winter Wren on the Marsh/River = Trail. We did not see the greater white-fronted goose at = Piscataway--unfortunately, we forgot about the earlier posts from this = area, and it was coincidence we decided to visit this park for the first = time today. We must have been in a different part of the park--we = didn't see the landmarks referred to in today's post (barn, fishing = pier, etc.). =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
