We spent quite some time at it with no success today. When we could not look at another gull we took a break and since we were so close looked for the Greater White-fronted Goose in P. G. County. It only took a few seconds to locate it in the flock of Canada Geese. On our way home we made another try for the gull. Still no luck. Back in St. Mary's County we made a couple stops to find a Canvasback that Marty needed for his year list. We were successful there, too, finding 5 drakes at Bushwood Wharf along with 4 drake Redheads. On Mechanicsville-Choptico Road we passed a field with 60+ American Pipits.
