MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit At 4:00 this AM I bundled up and took out the dogs. A pair of Great Horned Owls who've been vocalizing in our area since mid-December, were once again calling to each other. My theory is that they were routed out of the nearby woods that was chopped up last spring. On the spur of the moment I decided to follow the music & so tramped down the road in my fleece lined slippers. Thankfully, no cars came by. The owls were centered in a large stand of white pines & various other deciduous trees in our neighbor's yard. More (careful) investigation will follow.
