MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit On Friday 3:30-4:30, at the viewing area next the bridge on Rt. 121. One bird near Richardson's Goose B.c. hutchinsii was seen off and on. A bird superficially resembling the western form taverneri, was seen for about five minutes. Most distinctive was the broadly black throat, dividing the white cheek patches. The bird was somewhat larger than Richardson's, with a longer neck, pale breast, and short droopy bill. It swam actively and could not be photographed through the scope. It left the lake at 4:30, along with several hundred other geese, to feed in the cornfield south of the RR tracks.
